Accessories for Cleaner, Safer Robotic Welding
A robotic welding system is only as reliable as its weakest link. Spatter build-up, inconsistent wire stick-out, and fume accumulation are the three most common causes of weld quality drops, unplanned downtime and potential safety concerns in automated welding cells. Most importantly, all three of these issues are preventable by integrating the right accessories into your system from the start.
Torch cleaners, anti-spatter sprayers, wire cutter systems, and on-torch fume extraction all help to support improved productivity and operator safety, reduce downtime, and produce consistent, high-quality results. Infinite Robotics specifies and installs a range of robotic welding accessories designed to maintain arc consistency, extend consumable life, and keep your production environment safe across extended automated production runs.
Torch Cleaning and Wire Control
Automatic Torch Cleaner and Wire Cutter Systems
Spatter can be reduced by using correct welding parameters, but it is ultimately unavoidable in the welding process. When left unmanaged and allowed to build up inside the torch nozzle it can degrade the components over time. This, in turn, can destabilise the arc and produce inconsistent weld results by restricting gas flow. Automatic torch cleaning systems solve this problem without operator intervention and without downtime, automatically removing spatter build up and restoring proper gas flow and arc consistency.
Automatic wire cutting is also beneficial for ensuring consistency. Welding robots with touch sensing use the wire tip as a contact point to accurately locate workpieces before welding. If the wire is cut to the wrong length it can impact touch sensing results and overall weld accuracy and quality. Automated wire cutter systems cut the wire to the exact length every time, preventing variation.
At Infinite Robotics, we use J. Thielmann or a Binzel torch cleaner, anti-spatter sprayer, and wire cutters system on our robots. These systems enable automatic clean out of welding spatter build up and then spray antispatter inside the nozzle to prevent excessive build up. They also feature a wire cutter that will automatically cut the wire to a set length for precise wire touch sensing.

Integrated Fume Control
On-Torch Fume Extraction
Welding fumes are a serious workplace health hazard in any welding facility, but in a facility with a robotic welding cell running extended automated cycles, fume generation is continuous. Capturing or minimising fumes is essential for ensuring a safer working environment for your operators and workshop staff.
On-torch fume extraction systems were designed to enhance welding safety. Unlike a traditional portable fume unit for manual welding you don’t need to keep repositioning the hose or fume arm to where you are welding. These systems move with the robot to consistently capture fumes near the arc. They also start and stop extraction fans while the robot is welding.
Infinite Robotics installs on-torch fume extraction systems matched to the robotic welding system in use:
Binzel xFume
Specified for systems using Kemppi welders
Kemper Vacufil Compact
Specified for systems using Fronius welders
Note: On-torch extraction units add width to the torch body. For applications involving tight-access welds, that additional bulk may restrict access. In those cases, a fume extraction hood is the better choice. During consultations, our team will assess your welding needs and recommend the right fume extraction solution.
Accessory Selection Guide
Choosing the Right Accessories for Your Welding System
The accessories that belong in your robotic welding cell depend on your production environment, application requirements, and compliance obligations. When designing a robotic system you need to consider weld access requirements, production capacity, welding applications, and safety concerns.
A well-specified robotic welding cell integrates accessories as part of the system from the beginning, ensuring each part operates in coordination. Each component and accessory has its own job, but they all need to work together to produce consistent, quality welds, shift after shift.
Infinite Robotics specifies accessories as part of the complete system design, so that your cell delivers quality results cleanly, consistently, and safely from day one.
